Why I think Books are better than Movies!!

So, first of all, I am new to Book Reading, and I gave the credit to my Best Friend, who asked me to read a book saying, that I will love it more than watching the movie. I Smiled at him when he said that to me because that time I had watched 100s of movies and I loved them. So, the first book I read was " [The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown(my favorite one now :) ]

At first, I didn't enjoy reading the book as it was long and well, boring at first. So, I stopped reading it. But as that book belonged to my friend and had to return it , so I started reading it again. And believe me, when I started reading it with interest and concentration, I couldn't believe it. The way the author was telling the story was so great. Even the minute details were in the book, which I don't pay attention in movies.

The following are the reasons I think Books are better than the movies.

1. More details are in the books, and we can actually see those details but in movies we just see what the characters are doing , and pay little attention to the surroundings.

2. Plot makes more sense in movie  because the only point of it is to tell a story, but when you watch a movie of a book that you have read, you will find that, the movie has removed most of the parts that you loved to see in movie. I will take Beautiful Creatures movie here. I first watched the movie because the book was not available here, and story didn't make sense. It was good but not that, you know, to that level of understanding. And when I read Beautiful Creatures Novel, it was totally changed. The most intersting parts from the book were removed, and there wasn't better ending as it was in the book.

3. Books can be read anytime you want to be.

4. Although book reading takes more time than watching a 2-hour movie but if you want to know more about the movie, book reading is recommended.

5. Books make more sense than the movie. Because we know what is going in the mind of the character , we know everything about the character, but in the movie we see what the film maker want us to see and limits our imagination.

MY LITTLE COLLECTION OF BOOKS ;)
